About the Book
Alpha vs Alpha
Vida is always in control. Always.
She’s worked her way up from prostitution, into an escort service, and has finally managed to land herself a job specializing in non-sexual fantasies. She loves the fact that she no longer has to sell her body to pay the bills.
Of course, Vida still exposes herself and still pleasures men; that’s just part of the business. But she hasn’t been with a man in over five years, and she plans to keep it that way.
That is, until Barrett Price walks through the door.
He pays her a small fortune for one hour, one scene, one fantasy. Then something goes horribly wrong, and with one glimpse of flesh they are lost.
Vida forgets that she’s supposed to be the one in control, and Barrett forgets what it’s like to have control.
Rules are broken, people are hurt, and secrets are exposed. Before they know it, they’re both on the run from the one man who’s out to hurt Vida. And it just so happens, he’s also the man who signs Barrett’s paychecks.
This is one of those books that I wasn’t entirely sure I would like, simply because of the description and the fact that it’s a dom/sub book, but the cover drew me in & honestly, THAT is what made me buy the book. I’ll give any erotica book a try, and I’m glad that I gave Ms. Fallon a try by reading this book. It’s really a very good book.
I enjoyed Vida and Barretts characters quite a bit. To read how she described him, I think I might have had a difficult time staying away from him also, especially after her 5 year “dry spell” which she chose herself. I couldn’t imagine having no contact sexually for that long. I know I get tied in knots when it’s a week or so, so yeah.
I was honestly on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next. There was smoking hot & steamy sex, Vida & Barrett taking turns dominating one another then there was a kidnapping & beating. I never knew what was going to happen next, and I liked that.
I am going to give this book 4.5 stars, simply because there are some typos in the book, which the editor should have noticed, BUT other than that, I would recommend it to readers 18 and over due to explicit sex scenes! Great read.
I can’t wait to read more of Hana Fallon’s work!
About the Author
Hana Fallon resides in the sizable but comfortable town of Springfield. If you were to ask her “of which state?” she probably wouldn’t answer you. The shy, quiet daughter of conservative family, she spends her days writing in solitude. Hana graduated with honors and had planned on living a quiet life writing novels about grand adventures and romantic heroines.
That was all before she discovered erotica. She found she had a certain flair, writing about the sexscapades of her characters. Writing has become her way of letting her hair down, showing a little more skin, and being the sexy siren she was born to be.
