About the Book
My country is in shambles.
Thanks to a band of domestic terrorists, an epidemic has spread its way from coast to coast, turning friends into enemies, spouses into threats and neighbors into snacks.
Now, it’s up to me and fifteen other surly teenagers to escort our last hope of survival around the globe in order to contain this new terror.
Everyone on my team has a job. The King and Queen stay close to the back, guarding our ward. The Rooks, Bishops, and Knights all have the latest in modern weaponry, and they’re ready to charge into battle if the need arises.
But the Pawns… the Pawns are on the front lines; our first line of defense. Our sacrificial lambs, so to speak.
But sometimes a lamb doesn’t want to be sacrificed. Sometimes… a lamb is strong enough to survive the slaughter.
And that’s going to be me.
The resilient lamb.
The Blood Pawn.
Buy the Book
I will be honest, I didn’t know if I was going to want to read this book or not, because even though I’m all about The Walking Dead, I’m not all about that goryness. I supported one of my closest friends and bought her book (Yeah, I’m talking about Nicole) because I buy all of her books, and I’m so happy I did! There were very little gory details, and I think reading them is actually a little better than actually seeing them! This is a new genre for Ms. Tillman and she absolutely slayed it. This book was fantastic! It left me wanting more. It left me turning page after page, way after my bedtime! The storyline is very well developed, the writing is immaculate and the character details are very detailed. It’s an awesome book.
About the Author
In 2013, Nicole Tillman left her managerial position at a large internet company to stay at home with her two children, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Playing mom, maid, and nurse during the day is wildly fulfilling, but when the lights go out and everyone’s in bed, her imaginary friends come out to play.
When she’s not writing or mothering, she’s breezing through as many romance books as possible, dabbling in amateur photography, or tending to her backyard chickens.
Giveaway is open to USA, but if you’d like to enter and don’t live in the USA, I will substitute the paperback with an ebook.
