As a last minute grab while walking out of the library, I saw this book while the cover drew me in. I grabbed it and opened it to read inside of the cover and I required no more thought. Just that small synopsis had me wanting to read this book. And read it, I did!

I checked it out and started it while waiting on my daughter’s food and my tea at sonic. This was around 11:30am. I took a 20 minute break to go back to town to get canned biscuits for my dinner of Chicken and Dumplins. By 5:01pm, I closed the book for the final time. This was definitely one of those cases where I didn’t want to put the book down.

At first, I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t become emotionally invested at first, but as the story went on and the different narrators put in their perspectives of what was going on, the emotional side of the story came into play for me.

I thought the book was intense and at times it was hard to read, simply because of what was happening. The emotions definitely flew off the pages and I could feel them! I don’t think I laughed a single time in the book, however I did cry.

PLEASE keep in mind that this book does contain possible triggers for those who live where there have been or who have been through school shootings.
